Original Taiyo Container (EVA/PVC/CR Tarpaulin FIBC constructed by HF welding or cure-adhesion)

Retention After UV Lamp Test (ASTM G-154)

Original Taiyo Containers are FIBCs designed for heavy-duty multiple-trip usage. They are usually made of EVA, PVC, or CR tarpaulin sheets that have dramatically greater UV resistances compared to PP and PE woven fabrics as seen in the graph.

Original Taiyo Containers are waterproof because of water resistant materials and welded construction. Original Taiyo Containers can be used with inner liners or washed and dried multiple times for contamination sensitive products.

The fundamental difference between ordinary PP FIBCs and Original Taiyo Containers is that Original Taiyo Containers can be repaired without loosing its original strength. This prolongs the product life of the bag.

Original Taiyo Container Form-stable Design

The product-life cycle of most Original Taiyo Containers can be as long as 10 to 15 years depending on storage and handling conditions, which is much longer than multi-trip PP FIBCs that are usually replaced annually.

By using Original Taiyo Containers, users can reduce the total emission of carbon dioxide, the amount of industrial waste, and packaging costs. It is an environmentally friendly and cost saving solution for your bulk packaging.

E-Max Taiyo Containers (PE tarpaulin FIBC constructed by heat-sealing)

E-MAX Taiyo Container

E-Max Taiyo Containers are made of environmentally friendly polyolefin materials. E-MAX Taiyo Containers are washable and repairable like Original Taiyo Containers, but their tare weights are much lighter than Original Taiyo Containers. The product life cycle of E-MAX Taiyo Containers is generally shorter than Original Taiyo Containers but longer than Cloth Taiyo Containers.

* The outer-body washing of E-Max Taiyo Containers are limited to 5 times.

Original Taiyo Containers and E-MAX Taiyo Containers are best suited for uses in the "Closed Loop System", in which bags contain the same product and circulate between the same filling and discharging plants. Trains and trucks in Japan travel in a relatively short period of time. Therefore, bulk logistics in Japan often takes the form of the "Closed Loop System". In such a background, the use of repairable-washable FIBCs has become very popular since its invention in the 1960s. Taiyo Kogyo holds the top market share for repairable FIBCs in Japan.

Different types of Taiyo Containers are available to fulfill the varying needs of each customer:

  • Food contact approved type (EVA / PVC / E-MAX Taiyo Container)
  • Electric conductive type (Groundable CR / E-Max Taiyo Containers in compliance with the IEC standard)
  • Form-stable designs with internal baffle panels for optimizing the shipping load. (EVA / PVC Taiyo Containers)
  • UN certified type for dangerous goods (EVA / PVC / E-MAX Taiyo Container)
  • Heat resistant type (CR Taiyo Container for approx. 130 degrees Celsius)
  • Chemical / Oil resistant type (CR Taiyo Container)

All Original Taiyo Containers and E-MAX Taiyo Containers are in compliance with the recently revised Japanese Industry Standard (JIS Z 1651-2008).
