Oil spills, wastes from ships and other forms of water pollution can be confined using floating fences made from membrane materials. These fences have proven efficient of many occasions where oil tankers or other ships have been stranded and leaked fuel.

The Faggot Sheet provides an economical method of improving soft ground. Made of tough and flexible polyester, the Faggot Sheet is sandwiched between the soft foundation ground and the surface layer of soil to be filled in. The soft ground, over which Faggot Sheet is spread, can then support heavy earth-moving machines.

In the construction of a tide-wall, a breakwater or a pier, a difference in water level on both sides would cause a rapid filtration of sea-water from the high water level side to the other. When the flow speed of the sea-water is great, sand is washed away from underneath such a structure. Consequently, its rubble mound will subside or its caissons will incline.
In order to provent this sanddrifting phenomenon, we developed various kinds of "Filter Sheet" (non-woven geotextile) .

The EPLA Mat is a double layer (combination) mat consisting of synthetic polyester fabric, coverd with an aluminized steel wire net. Thus it has both the excellent properties of synthetic fibers and the high strength properties of the wire net. The layer of wire net acts reinforcement.

The "Flex Gabion" is a baglike product made of permable chemical net and geotextile sewed up io form a rectangular parallelepiped which can be stuffed with crushed stones generated in the construction site. This product can be used as a member of an artificial permeable beach or foot protection at river revetment and offshore breakwater.
